Hey all;

A couple weeks ago there was some discussion about the feasibility of a phantom powered buffer for guitar. I think this design should work (I haven't actually built it yet though).

Any thoughts?

You have the source trying to drive the internal resistance of the 9vdc supply.

Damn...

How about this?

I cant use a TRS plug, because I want to use the buffer for the piezo pickup on my electric guitar, i.e., I'm already using a TRS for the magnetic and piezo pickups.

Thanks

No, wait. Replace that diode with a 1-2K resistor. Would that fix the problem of the source trying to drive the battery (I actually plan to use the 9v from my pedalboard PS)?

Thanks
