hey guys!
I'm finishing up a rack right now,
and am wanting to build an "interface" for it.
Basically a 1U rack chassis that has maybe 4 TRS feedthroughs, a midi feedthrough, and maybe a small mixer or a signal splitter (see my other thread... that'll be the last step though, first I want to get the feedthroughs right.)
I guess I'll need plastic jacks to disconnect everything from the chassis, except the signal input?  And use single-conductor shielded wire inside?
I'm getting the chassis from redco.com, since I'm already ordering a ton of stuff from there.  Can't find any plastic jacks that would work though.  Also, I'm not sure on the wire.
I'm pretty sure that this will be a frustrating project, but probably the best project for me to teach me about signal grounds.

Thanks for the help guys, as always!
Andy

Hi,

I only use Cliff S1 or S2 jack sockets. They seem to be the most robust. Neutrik and other companies also make insulated jack sockets.

Cool!
Thanks!

You're welcome.  :icon_cool:

Using their part description, I was able to find them at Mouser for almost 20c cheaper   :icon_twisted:
Great, since I'm already ordering from them anyway
