I have been looking at ebay, but I also found some obscure radio place in NY, though I am not sure they are in stock there.  I also know that vacuumtubedepot (or something like that) has them for about 7 USD a piece (about the best price out there).  I am just wondering if the difference between 10W and 2W will be enough or if I should just go with the 5672's.

I think it's unlikely that its possible to get decent clean volume from 5672 dur to the low maximum voltage. So maybe good to try 5902. I would be interested in a couple if you get hold of an amount.

That matters a lot on other things like what type of sound you're trying to 'get away' with.
Bass tends to carry into other rooms more than treble.
Fuzz is more likely to demand the attention of those who just don't like the idea that fuzzy guitar even exists.
Speaker effeciency may be critical at 120Mw, seems small to make much bass with, 5w 'sounded' like a small amount too, until it's crankin' a 12'' speaker.
At that power, getting bass response and choosing the speaker [I'd use a quality old radio 8'' or similar] for effeciency might be the disadvantages...might not ! Superprizing what kinds of tones and frequency response can be produced at very low volumes, no technical reason I can think of why not.
The 'room sound' = reflecting off the walls, once that happens a certain amount of it goes through the wall also...2watts cranked would be heard through doors and walls.
Looking over schematics, data sheets for different tubes, and transformer ratios, you may be able to get at least a power supply, if not an entire circuit which can have 'plug in tube swap' capability, or use some modifications to accomodate various tubes, allowing to try different types of tubes to be used to produce marginally or notably different 'cranked' output levels.

This is a good question, with a little redrafting might make a good title for a new thread.
I have got the volume pretty low, I'm still not at all sure I can't get sound that good even lower, and that I wouldn't even prefer lower volume. I just built a 'lo-watt' [204v on 6v6 plate resistor] amp.
How damped the enclosure [I assume a sealed' box] is and that it isn't vibrating anything else [set on a towel etc.]...also the cabinet could be a horn...for a big jump in volume and directionality, and a big volume drop to anything it's not pointed at..

@ Frequencycentral:  If I get my hands on any, how many would you be interested in?  I am probably looking to order in the next little while (going to pick up some 6021's for the first gain stage to drive my 6111's).

@Pete:  Thanks for the thoughts.  As for the room acoustics, that is what my graduate research is in, but as for the speaker efficiency, that is a good thing to keep in mind.  I am thinking of using my old 1x12 in a cab that I have.  As for bass, I am going to be building in a cool little "fat" switch that will activate a dual opamp frequency boost (I know, the silicon demon), so we will see how that works.  Of course, I am going to be buying an expansion for my breadboard so that I can make sure that all the tweaks and everything are just how I want them.

Slightly OT question: can I use the same phase inverter to drive two power sections (I will have a switch routing the signal from the inverter to only one power section at a time)?  This is going to be one fun little amp.  I just hope I can finish it relatively quickly.

(I know, the silicon demon),
I don't believe in them the way some would have me do, I believe they can be good or bad, it depends on the work that they do.

I have built a similar bass boost thing before and I think it makes the sound so amazing.  It fattens up the bottom end without mushing anything up.
