Dead Rat2 retail

I have a Rat 2 that works only when bypassed and one thing I noticed was on the Jfet the Drain was 9 volts, the Source was 1.4 volts and the Gate was 0 volts does that sound right?

If it is the ribbon cable version, check to see if the ribbon clip is loose. Also the grounding wires from the switch might be shorting against the footswitch body...why proco didn't just use shielder wire, I don't know.

i encountered both problems on a RAT2 I bought a year ago.

I have an update on my rat I measured the opamp which is an OP07cP

I forgot to mention I don't have the ribbon version and the wires aren't touching the switch but thanks for the heads up
