Reverse polarity, 7 Fx + 7 Millenium BP still working!! just lucky ?

so last night just finished with a friend of mine our new multifx boxes, all diy, first one with May Queen, Highway 89 and a Rebote 2.5, second one with an Hendrix Fuzz, Big daddy, DS-1 clone and a Barber Silver LTD, we had hard time to "debug" them due to a "completely-no-sound-of-out-them" issue just to find that we got our PS's plug with positive centre. So we had them for, at least, 2-3 mins each connected with a reverse polarity, reversed the wire in the plug and reconnected the 2 boxes, to our surprise, they all work, even all the 7 Millennium bypasses (the old one J201, 1n914,..)!! All FXs are without reverse polarity protection diode except for the LTD

Is this just a "lucky break", or something else ?
