I have had quite a few requests for this lately, so I thought I should repost it her. Quite a usefull tool for beginners and transistor swappers....
It is still a work in progress, and any tips on other stuff to be in here is welcome. I'm working on transelating the mm drill sizes to inches for you weird Americans.
Admins, feel free to add a link to the FAQ if you feel like it.

Good Document.
For drill sizes, fasteners, taps, drilling for tapping, many tooling references etc.... Go in Machinery's Handbook (Industral press inc. editions, New-York).  100s of pages on this subjects.
Hope it helps.

Great documents both of them!  Useful chart to have on your workbench.

Excellent!
Be careful with the pinouts - I have two different manufacturers' BS170's with different pinouts, if memory serves.

quick note:
2n7000 is reversed from BS170

Corrected the 2N7000 error. Thanks for pointing it out.
I know that there is difference between similar components from different manufacturers. Need to find a way to distinguish them..

That is a great reference.  The only thing I hate in general is resistor codes because I am colorblind.  I wish they would do like caps, but I understand they are too small, etc.  Oh well, I guess that is what the DMM is for, right?  The drill size thing is going to save me a bunch of time.
