Does anyone know what type of connector this is:

it is the connector of this unit (pushbutton and probably preamp for headset):

this is the whole unit:

as you can see it's a throat microphone. the earpiece is connected with a 3 pin mini XLR and the junction of the earpiece and mic is connected to the preamp unit with a 4 pin mini XLR.
i bought 4 in england but i have no info on them, so i have to figure out how they work.
the boxes have some nato reference codes and part numbers but they don't really help to find any details.

the pinout of the connector would certainly help. the more info the better!

thanks in advance!

I certainly appears to be mic/headset connector for a radio unit.  If it military you may have a bit of trouble finding any info.  Some of that information is not available on the internet.  Look much like the remote mic connector for a Motorola Radius series of radios (opr many other Motorola types)  but it seems to have more pins/different shape.

As Beans pointed out. Its for a radio...the connector implies a portable radio. Appears to be an "aparatus" set up as with fire fighters under their breathing gear.
