OK, so I'm a newbie as far as knowing how electronics works, help me out please.  i was going to take on the DieFet project when i noticed that the schematic lists a 12v power source.  it's not gonna run if i power it with my 9v power supply is it?  i know i have the skills to build it.  just don't understand the workings behind everything entirely.

schematic here: http://www.techniguitare.com/projets/DieFet/DIEFET-V1-21.pdf

any help greatly appreciated

I actually built and ran my DieFET off of 9V for the first month or two until I built a 12V supply and it still sounded great to me.  I don't notice too much difference at 12V.  Still a very ambitious first build.

it's not my first build.  my first build as a member of this forum, yes.

Looks like an interesting project.  Are there any sound clips posted?? or layouts?  Couldn't really search there very easily.

There are some soundclips on the thread about it in this forum, just search for it.
