Hi. I succcesfully built the java boost from a torchy layout a month ago. Yesterday, for the first time apparently, i turned the tone control fully counterclockwise, and the signal dissapeared? Is this normal for this cirquit? I´m not that experienced reading schematiscs.
It´s not a huge issue though. The effect sounds good, and theres not much use for the tone control, sindce it´s a treble boost. But I´m curious if it´s normal though?

Sounds like it needs a "stopper" resistor soldered between one of the pot legs and it's wire. I'm not sure which leg to put it on without seeing schematic, but to figure out what value resistor to use you would be to turn pot counter clockwise to right before signal cuts off and then remove and measure resistance with your DMM. Should be a lot smaller value than your pots total resistance... probably around 1K or more unless something else is really wrong.
