Hello,

My dd-2 has recently gone wild.  With everything set at 12o/c, i'm getting noicy repeats that get louder the longer the pedel is engaged.  The Noise fades as soon as i hit a note, but slowly return when i mute the guitar.

I got the pedal faulty off ebay for only $20 and my father managed to fix it (someone plugged the wrong power supply, melting components). To fix it he bypassed a zener diode, but we were to lazy to fit a replacement.  Could this of come back to haunt us?

To me it seems as if the feedback pot or circuit has gone faulty.

if it helps, i could record a sample of the fault?

Its my fav pedal, please help!!

Well - I'd certainly not jumper the diode, and I'd rather get a new one in place before any serious use.

Also, you can try asking this at the Bossarea forum:

problem solved, faulty power supply.  it was getting 15v instead of 9v.

Ouch. I think I killed a Marshall delay once by feeding it with 16v.
