9v multi-fx power distribution

Are both of these acceptable for getting power to the boards in a multi-fx set up?  I was going to daisy chain the 9v but am not sure if this would be an issue:

They're both fine.  What would differentiate them is largely how the preferred pedal location dovetails with the daisy-chain cable.  In some circumstances, the second arrangement (which requires you to create a bunch of custom power cables) will provide the cleanest/tidiest arrangement.
