anybody know of any out there?  i dropped only $15 on it so i really wanna mess around w/ it.  doesn't get the kinda reverb i was lookin for.  was hopin for somethin smoother.

It would seem from both the sound and the features, that it might be an MN3207-based pedal with delay time and filtering set to mimic a room reverb.  Any chance you can peek inside and tell us what the chips say?

i read somewhere that to make it true bypass u "just jumper the DPDT switch contacts together" but i'm not quite sure which contacts i should jumper together

Well sounds like pretty much what I am doing for this month's FX-X.

if you search around here you'll find mods, i remember one where you replace a resitor by a pot and it becomes a Rebote delay...

i did a search and couldn't seem to come across anything other than how to true bypass it.  does anyone know wut switch contacts i would have to jumper together?

I think you are remembering the Fab Echo mods.

The 4053/4013 combo is doing the bypassing and if its anything like the other plastic Dano's it can't be true bypassed without adding a new footswitch.

but how?

Seems to me like the Fab Echo and the Corned Beef are essential the same basic design except that the FE is "tuned" to produce and audible bright slapback, and the CB is "tuned" to produce a dull wash with a bit more decay time.  Interesting.
