Mobius Trip playback speed?

Is it possible to change the speed of playback once you record a loop? I'd like to be able to slow it way down (and pitch it down) or up.

I was planning to make some flavor of Playback, but it seems the chips for both versions are unobtainium now, so looks like the Mobius Trip is the only looper that can be built right now, until The Tone God releases his Playback 2.0.

This is kind of a total shot in the dark, as I am not very experience with digital nor have I looked at the mobius trip or it's components, but maybe you could mess with the clock speed? With recording this would just set the sample rate, I think, but when you have it recorded, wouldn't that slow down or speed up the playback of the sounds stored in memory?

Providing the clock speed is adjustable, of course.

The clock speed is fixed internally. The trick used in Payback v1.0 was to vary the power supply but you can only go so far with this before the IC gives up. So really there is no good way to do this with any of the older ISD ICs.
