Improving Boss OD-2 Bass Response

Ok I have a original Japanese OD-2 Turbo Overdrive. My problem is that when it is engaged I loose bass and its quiet noticable. Anyone have any ideas on how I can gain my Bass response back or increase it. It also has quiet a low output if anyone knows how to help increase that that would be awesome also. I am handy with a solder so if it is just changing a resistor or a cap im quiet capable. Cheers

concerning the low volume, are you powering the pedal with 9V? if so, you should remove some parts (a resistor and a diode) inside, because those limit the voltage to the pedal (it was built to be powered with 12V if I'm not wrong)..
So remove D1 and R2 and replace those with jumpers
