I have a AD3208 that I built several years ago and I refuse to give up on it. Just basic troubleshooting here. I'm a noob in lots of respects so please don't flame too much.

Here's the layout:

and schematic:

I'm using a BL3102 in place of the MN3102 and also BL3208B in place of BL3208A. I cut traces and added jumpers to solve the 3208A/B problem (pinouts are not the same). So I think I'm ok there. But the BL3102 heats up a bit and a 9V battery loses charge right before my eyes. So I figure I've got a problem with voltage shorting to ground somewhere in that vicinity.

Here's my question: if I pull the BL3102 out of the socket, pull the battery, and measure resistance between socket pins 1 & 3 (VDD & Gnd, respectively) with my DMM, I get a reading. Should this be?

Oh, ok. Thanks a lot for the reply. I'll look elsewhere.
