Another Electric Mistress Question

I have recently built a Deluxe Electric Mistress and tried it using a charge pump, and what can I say besides I was worned.

It's a bust. The charge pump throws a radio tuning like sound into the effect. it rises and falls and my guess it's the IC's LFO causing it.

So, being unable to eliminate it I reverted to two 9 volts and a 24 volt wall adaptor.

Anyways I was reading through the datasheet for the SAD1024A and I know this was brought up before but I never seen an answer. It states that for best performance the Vbb pin should be one volt less than the Vdd pin, but this is not reflected in any of the schmatics I've seen involving the DEM circuit.

Why not?

Thanks,

Bill

Since I've breadboarded it I can only blame myself.

But It's Just A Chip!
