I'm working on a Ruby amp.It makes a little popping noise now and again. It's on the breadboard at the moment so that may have something to do with it. It is quiet otherwise. If I play everything sounds good, then out of nowhere a little pop comes out. Then everything is fine again until a little later "pop"... Anyone else have this happen?

does it only happen or does it happen more when you strike a loud note? are you sure you've got the right sized capacitor across the output?

Happens more if I'm playing loudly. I'm using a 220uf cap. Maybe I should go up to a 470uf?

Just being sure....read somewhere else where someone used a cap that was rated too far down in the audio range and was shunting signal to ground. Schematics call for 220uF.

I'm definitely using a 220uf 25v cap for the output.
