Unconventional question about reamping

Hello.  I need to remotely locate my amplifier more than 60' away from my guitar.  I'm planning on using an active direct box to take the unbalanced output from my pedal board and balance it.  I will then run the signal over mic cable and into a reamping box that I plan to make using Jack Orman's Multipurpose Op AMP PCB to convert the balanced line back to a high impedance instrument signal.
The direct box that I plan to use operates on 9 - 48 volts DC, and I would like to send "phantom power" from the Reamping box to the direct box via the mic cable.

Any thoughts on how I could accomplish this?

Check this out and see if it helps. Think its right up your alley on this one

Speaker level signals travel long distances better than instrument or line level.  Obviously kinda tough if you're running a combo amp, but maybe you can figure some way to keep the amp close and the speaker remote?

Hey Ashkat, I'm wondering if you've made your purchases yet as 2 passive DI's will do the job you're talking about completely for alot cheaper. Essentialy all you've to do is flip the second one so that you connect the low z out to the input and the high z in to the output and the impedance will be rematched!

However you need an XLR to mono jack cable to do this!

Does your second amp have a "return" ? , take the unbalanced from your pedals ( should be around 1-10k ) , and then plug it into return .

Wasn't me, dude.  All my amps are virtual.  ;)

Those should help you with the reamp part.  Sounds like it would be easier to power your di from your pedal board rather than build a dedicated phantom power supply

That's sounds exactly like the radial guitar interface. Convert your signal to balanced so signal loss is a minimum and then right before the amp your "reamping" back to guitar impedance.
Seems very logical to me.

Guitar/direct box/60ft of xlr/reamp box/minimal cable to amp
YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY ABOUT LARGE PEDALBOARDS....

.... I BET YOU WISH YOUR PEDALBOARD WAS AS LARGE AS MINE
