I want to make sure that I am not going to cause any nasty finish problems with my process....I plan on using first a self etching primer, then testors spay lacquer then maybe a lacquer top coat (glossy).
Next I want to apply my LASER decals (paper from smallbear).  After this the manufacture says Krylon Clear Coat.  I would like to know if anyone has tried Krylon Triple Clear as the final coat after decals and were there any ill affects of doing so on the decal or the base coatings.

Thanks,
Glenn

You could try Testors clear lacquer since it may be more compatible with the basecoat. I have used Krylon Crstal Clear over acrylic lacquers with no problems, but I'm not sure about the new Testors stuff. Using Testors clear lacquer on the decal paper should work, but it's always good to test it first.

Yeah, I'd do that as well. Lacquer over lacquer seems best.
You could just apply the decals straight over the first laquer (color) coat and then clear over the decals.
When you spray your clear lacquer over the decals apply a few mist/light coats and let them dry for a few minutes
between coats. Decals will run sometimes when you put on lacquer in "wet" coats, it will dissolve the
laser ink often. Once you get a few light coats on then you can spray a "regular" coat.
