CA3018 as fuzz and buffer

The CA3018 is a coupla transistors and a darlington. The hfe of each transistor is 110 on the data sheet, I haven't measured them, but I thought it would make a nice radio shack fuzz with two of the trannies and then a buffer with the darlington or maybe an easydrive.

Anyways I'm unsure of how to connect the darlington emitters, simply because the base emitter connection... has a connection  ???

So my question is should I tie it to earth with a resistor or leave it unconnected as in regular darlingtons?

Same if I do the easydrive with the darlington, which'd be pretty wild, and just connect the darlington as in to Q1 base, both collectors together and Q2 emitter with a resistor to ground.

Oh, the other thing I'll most probably do, which occured to me after the drawing, is to have the radio shack out and buffer in going to send return type outs so if not used separately they direct connect.
Monkey see, monkey do.

Okay, no answers so I've left the darlington Q1 unconnected.

Now another question that may or maynot be answered... but I'm going to ask it anyways.

Should the substrata, pin 10, be connected to earth?

I went for the easydrive for the darlington and given the amplification of those things it should be wild.
