Best one knob effects?

Hey guys,

What do you think are some of the best stomp boxes that have only one knob? I built a DOD EF440 for my friend, but he doesn't really like it. So now I have an enclosure with holes for two knobs. He asked if I could put a booster and another one knob effect in there with toggle switch to choose which effect to use.

While I'm on the subject of one knob effects. Are there any good suggestions for two knob effects?

One knob
* ONE KNOB FAT FUZZ - I'm not so much into fuzzes but this lil circuit is sooo good - instant BORN TO BE WILD tones (or at least it sounded that way to my ears...)
* Orange Squeezer
* Rocket Boost (I like it so much, much better than the LPB it comes from...)
* Tillman (simple but effective...)
* DOD 210 (as above)

Two knobs
* DOD 250/308
* Sparkle boost (YEAH! One of the best FX I ever built)
* Valvecaster (I couldn't live without one...)
* Si Fuzz Face

What jfet did you use in the sparkle boost. I found a layout for it here

Is the NTE458 important?

Is the NTE458 important?

There's a couple of other layouts which use the classic J201 (or 2N5457) - I've done mine with 2N5457 and it's soooo good...
