Hello,
I want to get a lower speed in my next Phase 90.
What if I use a 1M pot for the speed? Could it be so simple?

Didn't find anything about it here :icon_surprised: ...

Thanks!

R.G.

It's probably that simple, if the 10uF cap to ground from the speed pot is not leaky.

You could also switch in another 10uF in parallel with the cap.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Thanks, R.G.
Do you mean the integrator cap?
And if I don't want the speed to get so high and I put a larger resistor in series with the speed pot to get lower speeds instead?

Just increasing the integrator cap will decrease the maximum speed, as well.  I have a 22uF in mine, which gives me a nice range of speeds with the stock pot.

Thanks for that, I'll try it.

I have a Phase 90 that I did the "script" mods on and I love it.  But just out of curiosity, why would someone want a slower speed?  I mean, on mine the slower speed is pretty darn slow and the sweep is quite subtle.  It definately changes the sound of my guitar, but the actual sweep is hard to hear because it's so slow.  I'm just curious.

I want to get slower to "abuse" of the resonance control  :icon_twisted:
