Found the Mother Load

in some parts of the world (incl. Australia, New Zealand, and some of the EU, Africa and South America) we use the terms undergraduate (doing a Bachelor's degree) and postgraduate (doing a Master's degree or PhD).  We shorten this to "postgrad".  But once you've been in academia a while, you hear of a lot of different systems (e,g, the Dutch have some interesting stuff happening.).
