Hello,

I've just finished a Mark Hammer's Woody (thx a lot again Mark for your kindness) using this project (thx to Pablo de Luca and sorry not to post a link to it, but I forgot from what site I got it...if someone knows please let me know and I will put the link to the site):
http://www.aronnelson.com/DIYFiles/up/M._Hammer_s_Woody.pdf. I saw that C2 is wrong placed, so I reversed it.

After I powered it from 2 batteries it works like charm and it was love at first sight  :icon_redface:

Because I have a lot of well filtered power supplies, I've built the Tonepad's Bipolar power supply (which I used sometime ago to power a Gristelizer and it works OK) using this project (thx to Tonepad for all their great projects): http://www.tonepad.com/getFile.asp?id=118. It works OK from the first try, too.

When I connected both of them, using the Tonepad's indicated wiring, it didn't work!!! I've got something like -1.5V and +2.5V instead of -8.8V and +8.7V as I measured before coupling them. I rechecked both for ten times, with no luck.

Can anyone help me?

Thx a lot all,
Radu

After another 1 hour spent to debug it, I found the "error": the transistor is reversed on Tonepad layout's for Fairchild transistors, but it's OK from Motorola ones!!!

I hate this stupid kind of problem, but that's the story :)
