Hi, I built the jfet matcher on a breadboard, its seemed to work. The fets I tested were j201's, the only matched sets I could get are 0.190*4,   0.169*4, 0.234*4, 0.132*4. none of the fets in the batch were bigger than 0.34.

The numbers seem low from what I've seen other people mention, typically 1.4 - 1.8 are mentioned in build reports.  Are the above sets suitable for a phase 90? or do I have a duff batch.

Thanks.

Woz.

You shouldn't really use J201 they have a low Vp

Better Jfets for the job are,
2N5485 is about the closest.
2SK30-Y or 2SK30-GR
BF244A and BF245A

I used 2n5457 and lucky for me out of a bag of 100 the first two I pulled out tested the same (2.261) and they worked just fine in the Tonepad Phase 45 I put together.
