I know a heil talkbox is rated to handle NO MORE than 100 watts max. I just blew mine with a 50 watt marshall head!!!!!!

Now....when I get a new diaphragm in it is there some way to help prevent this from happening again....other than another lower power amp?

The talkbox already has a light bulb inside to presumably help "soak" some of the power up.....can I add another one? or maybe a resistor???

Any help is much apprechiated!

I would get the highest rated horn driver that you can find.  I use an EV horn driver rated at 75 watts short term/300 watts short term pulled from a DML-1152A cab.  I drive it with a Peavey Classic 30...never any problems.  My horn is approx. 8 1/2" diameter.

Sort of off topic: I have another of those horn drivers; I built a ROG Little Gem II to run the driver.  Not bad at all.  (Thanks, ROG!)

Need help with woodworking?  Just ask.

??? How old/new is your talkbox? Mine has a horn, and a giant cap, and that's it.

I'm now curious...
