Hello all,

I just picked up an iPod Touch and have a few projects that I want to run past some more experienced folks.

1. Breakout cable for mic/headphones: http://benttronics.blogspot.com/2009/05/audio-breakout-cable-for-ipodiphone.html

I'd like to build this and plug my guitar into the mic input to use the Peterson iStrobe Tuner. Peterson makes an adapter cable, but don't know if it is just a 4 conductor 3.5mm to 1/4" adapter or if there are any other components crammed inline. I don't know if the 2.7v of current is a concern.

2. Apparently, the dock pinout supports stereo line in and stereo line out. It'd be neat to create a breakout box for mobile stereo recording or for the 4 track apps.

Any comments?

i keep cleartune on my iphone. it's pretty cool. not as good as a boss tuner probably. it also has a tone generator for any note and octave.
