Help me banish the bees in my latest build

Hi

Just about finished off a Silver LTD.  It sounds great except that it buzzes like a beehive with the volume and/or drive past about 12:00.  Very similar to the sound you get if you touch the tip of the lead guitar lead while it's plugged into the amp.

I don't recall having this issue when I tested out the circuit on my test rig before boxing it up.  It was a few weeks back so I can't say for certain, but it's pretty obvious - I'm sure I'd have noticed it if it was playing up then.

Testing done so far:

1. Sole pedal running off a regulated power supply: buzzes
2. Sole pedal running of a fresh 9V battery: buzzes - maybe slightly less but in the same ballpark
3. Checked grounds: there seems to be continuity between all the ground points and the input jack sleeve.
4. Switch opamps: JCR4558 seemed to make less noise than the original TL072 but it was still pretty bad.

Anyone got any other suggestions before I try and smoke the bees out?  All my other builds have been pretty well silent and I'm out of ideas at present.

Thanks

Cold solder joint somewhere?

Thanks Paul.  Nothing like sleep and daylight to find issues.  I'd stripped off a bit too much insulation on one of the switch wires and it was making contact with another of the pins.  I'm surprised I got any sound at all.  All sorted now - what a fantastic sounding overdrive.  This is going straight on my board... just as soon as I work out what to take off to make room for it  :-\
