Hey all,

Built up an Slow Gear from Cathexis layout, all working lovely but boxed it up and now the output is so incredibly low I have to put my amp on the distortion channel at full whack to hear it, but it is working in the background.

Check my voltages against Cathexis' Seemed alright, couple of variations but seem okay...

Jabbing the input cap with my finger gets a strong buzz if I play the guitar at the same time.. changed it out, no affect and poked an resistor and capacitor around inside and an transistor on top of the originals... no change, can't see any solder bridges or cold joints, re soldered all the connections anyway aswell nothing looks like it's grounding that shouldn't...

Any clues on this one? Wheres a good place to look for low output in this build.

Cheers, Scruffie.

Was the pedal volume loud before you boxed it up?  I'm thinking of a transitor pinout issue here.

Transistor pin outs are fine, it was fine before boxing yeah, I have just noticed a suspect connection which i'm gunna resolder and report back.

Hoorah sorted, guess this thread can be deleted if a mod sees it as it brings very little to the table...
