I just heard about this yesterday. Bummer. But at least he lived a long, prosperous and significant life.

  What a great run !
     He's given me a lot to think about.
  I guess they rolled their eyeballs at the prestige-guitar Manufacturing heads meeting at Gibson, LP showed up with an 'electric guitar' which had metal screws and brackets connecting the neck and body...Leo started selling Stratocasters like hotcakes and the prestige guitar guys scrambled, got Les in on the design stage...that is one of my favorite memories of Les Paul, very interesting character !
