I built a slow gear using the Cathexis vero. It works, but I won't bother boxing it up. A volume pedal is really the way to go.

mh... not sure... for long swells the volume pedal or the guitar pot are probably enough/better... but it's fun to play with it!
Only those who attempt the absurd will achieve the impossible.

Now if you could get the swell pedal to be have the timing of the swell driven by the hardness of your playing... that'd be quite useful. Pick soft for a little cut of the initial attack and pick hard for long slumbering swells... that'd be well nifty!

A cool use for the SG-1 is after a tremolo.  If you're looking to smooth out a choppy trem the Slow Gear does it well.  I used after my Pulsar and it worked great for that.  Also an SG-1 in combination with other effects like phasers and chorus and or delays you can get a convincing organ type sounds.  A one trick pony maybe but if you use your imagination you might find it useful.
