First of all, hi, this is my first post here :D

Secondary, i have a problem with my fuzz pedal (Smallbox clone, http://smallbox.zeonhost.com/projects/fface/ ); when i engage the fuzz it doesn't make a sound, but it allows the signal to pass when it isn't engaged.

Now i built two of these, the first one had AC151 transistors, the second version had differant transistors (both Germanium, PnP)
Another thing is that i used a stereo jack instead of a mono jack

By the way, the first one with AC151 (Germanium, PnP) made sound only when i put the volume and fuzz on max and i had to pretty much rape my guitar to get 0.5 seconds of sustaining fuzz, though it was barely hearable :(

Any idea what might have gone wrong?
I built it with my grandfather and he is an electrical engineer so i doubt there is any grounding issue.

Welcome to the forum!

Have you made an audio probe yet? http://www.diystompboxes.com/wiki/index.php?title=Debugging

I get tons of milage out of R.G's debugging page. http://www.geofex.com/fxdebug/fxdebug.htm

Hope it helps.

Well i had problems finding the switch and i got one that might not be the spesific one, it has a 3x2 pattern, and i doubt the circuit is dead since i rebuilt it from scrap when the first one failed.

ı'm thinking bad capacitors since the soldering might have burnt them (only part i recycled was this one cap)
