Hello Everyone...

I'm sorry if this is one of those embarrassingly easy questions to answer but I'm afraid I haven't got a clue.

I've just bought a Whipple inductor to build this circuit...

http://fuzzcentral.ssguitar.com/schematics/colorsoundwah.gif

The schem only shows 2 points where the inductor is connected to the circuit, but the whipple has 5 lugs ?!?! Is this one of those, 'Yeah... it shows two, but you're supposed to know where the other 3 go !!' type thing that us relative newbies encounter every now and again, or, am I only supposed to connect two of the 5 lugs ?? I'm confused.

Cheers.

I think that three of them are mounting type things, but I am not positive.  I am sure someone who has done this will chime in soon.

If you look at the legs sticking out of the whipple you will see that two of them have a fine wire attached to them. Those are the terminals for the inductor. All the other legs are just for mounting.

Hello,

On the back of the whipple the four central pins are numbered and it's 1 & 8 that you need for the circuit. Four and five don't seem to connect to anything else and the lone pin on the edge seems to be the casing. Mike's done some videos on the Whipple and this one should do it for you.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67Rlee-2XDc&feature=related

Take care

Those wires ARE fine aren't they !! Do the other lugs have to be grounded or anything ?? If not, I was thinking about soldering them in to some un-connected pads for stability.

Thanks for the help.
