Effects looper hacks & magic

Hey guys!

I'm looking into building my own effects loop (with a feedback switch), and want to do at least 2 independent loops besides the throughput. I'm using this layout as a base:


I was wondering how one might go about putting a stomp switch in one of these to turn Loop 1 off while simultaneously turning Loop 2 on? Is it possible to do this while also powering LED indicators? Is it a modular process (like a looper itself), where I can simply add another switch to then switch off Loop 2 and turn on Loop 3? I realize this might have to contain a switching IC of some sort, but if I stick to two loops is there a hardwired way to do it?

Would this work (switching out the circuits for sends/returns)?

Just take the send and return signal "sends" to the centre lugs of the switch and the outer lugs go to each loop then if you want LED's use the extra set of lugs with power to the middle lug and a different LED colour to ground off the outside lugs. Looking at the Andi pic.
