I have a stock Holy Grail reverb pedal that stopped working. the light comes on but it passes no sound. I checked all of the postes on the #PDT switch for continuity and seem fine. It is made with those really tiny components, I think they are called SMT?..   ..anyway i have no idea what happened and do not know where to start? all of the wires seem to be connected. I have bulit quite a few pedals like the BSIAB, Fetzer and the Ross/Dyna comp pedals, so I have a little experience but not a lot.

Is there any typicall issues with this pedal?

does it pass sound when turned off? the holy grails are digital, with smt components, its pretty unlikely that a component would fail. the likely suspects are the jacks, switches, battery/power supply wiring, basically any osffboard wiring. perhaps you can post a pic?

I would bet it's the output op-amp.  I've had to repair a few of those.

It does pass sound when in bypass mode. All wires seem fine and the light comes on so I know the board is getting power Theehman! which is the output op-amp? Is it a small silver can, or a flat black square chip? I can not post pictures because my digital camera wont work with this old Windows 98 computer.
FYI  if it help it says "EC-0060 Rev. A Made in NeW York City.

is that he chip just below where the lugs of the blend control meet the board? It looks like a  4558 chip with 8 pins, just smaller? Is that chip easily found?  any idea what may have caused it to go bad? Thanks for all of your help.

That's it.  It's not a 4558, it's an LMV358.  The pinout is the same.  Check the outputs (Pins 1 and 7) for signal.

I've got one of these that is doing the same thing. I believe it's not passing any signal in bypass.

I suspect that it may have had a reverse voltage applied to it for god knows how long....

I will check the output at the output opamp. I'm assuming it's a SMD?
I like amps etc.

If it's not passing signal in bypass I would suspect a switch.

How have you been powering it? I see tons of these with issues of power supply. It MUST use the stock supply. The new NANO CLONE will run off normal supply like a boss or whatever.. Most repairs I get in on these was the wrong supply.
