Can I make a fetzer valve, or booster that boosts only a certain frequency

I am looking to build a pedal that boost only a certain frequency center and and bandwidth. I really like playing with a graphic eq before my preamp to boost rather narrow band widths . Specifically I am looking to build a pedal that can boost various mid frequencies from about 500k to 1000k. I woiuld like to be able to boost them about 12-15db. Can I modify a fetzer or AMZ Mosfet boost to boost only frequencies in that area?...and beable to select the "Q" and bandwidth?

I appologize if this is a poorly asked question with not enough detail and/or the wrong terminology.

Any and all help is appreciated

  Bandpass Filter [BP Filter].
I really like playing with a graphic eq before my preamp to boost rather narrow band widths. Eq pedals are recommended for relatively cheap thrills, ability to do just that, and demonstrate what 'x' frequency sounds like.

The MB provides a lot of gain, whether it can be made to perform the goals set forth is another matter, and almost certainly depends on the definition of 'modify' in the sense that 1 transistor alone may not be enough.

Doin' fine...try GEO and Elliot, they've helped me to form better questions, answers and solutions, I would take a look and see what they're doing for "Bandpass"...working out the details on a Neutron here, using it's Bandpass Filter with great enjoyment !
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

The circuit you're looking for is a parametric EQ. It's like a graphic EQ, but with only one frequency boost/cut, and the frequency, boost/cut and Q are adjustable. RG has a page on them here: http://www.geofex.com/Article_Folders/EQs/paramet.htm
