Transformer Leads

I'm making a pcircuit that only requires two leads of a transformer, should I clip the others or solder them down to a pad not connected anywhere else?

  I usually wrap 'em up and strap 'em down or just shape 'em out of the way for solid core wires, maybe use electrical tape.
  Seems like the main importance is that they be isolated.
