Hello guys!

I need a PASSIVE looper who can switch between two loops to have them plugged in serie OR in parallel (for use two distortion to stack them or mix them, or two delay ala U2)

Here is my idea:

I explain:

In SERIE mode

The signal goes to the IN, and go to the SEND1, go to an effect pedal, then go to the RETURN1 and to the point C of the 3PDT
In serie mode, the signal who arrive in C goes to A, the signal goes to SEND2, goes to a second effect pedal, then goes to the RETURN2 and finally goes to the OUT
The signal is also send to the point D but goes to the ground, so this way is muted

The sound of the first pedal goes to the second pedal, so they are in serie

In PARALLEL MODE:

The signal goes to the IN, and go to the SEND1, go to an effect pedal, then go to the RETURN1 and to the point C of the 3PDT
In parallel mode, the signal who arrive in C point goes to the E point, et then go to the OUT.
But the signal arrive also in D point, and we are in parallel mode, so the signal goes to the F point of the 3PDT and to the SEND2, to the second pedal, then the RETURN2 and then go to the out.

We have the both signals but in parallel, the sound of the first pedal does'nt go to the seconde pedal.

Is it workable for you ?

thanks a lot for any help

The problem is that by sending your input to D, you're grounding the whole signal.  D would actually be connected to Send 1, you see.  Also, to mix the two signals I think you need an active buffer to make it work right.  It might work passive, but my understanding is that it won't work well.  I'm sure someone else can weigh in on this.

I have been working on a similar idea, but my concept so far involves an active circuit for splitting and mixing back together.
