hi all ;D

I bought an old amdek chorus on good ole ebay and it turned up today!:) Nice sounding chorus this!!

I believe it is based on a Boss CE-2 and it was an old kit that you could buy and put together.

Does anyone have a schematic for this? i have tried the trusted goole ways but nothing, any help would be good as the pedal works but the depth pot is either full or minimal!

Thanks all
c

Mark Hammer

basically, it IS a CE-2....in kit form.

I just received 3 Amdek Pedals with the instructions (including schematics) this morning:

Amdek PHK-100 Phaser
Amdek DSK-100 Distortion
Amdek CMK-100 Compressor

+ the instructions for the TAK-100 Tuning Amp

I have instructions and schematics for some of the other pedals (and drum modules) as well, but I'm moving soon, so no time to search until that's done :D

I've got the schematic in an original copy of E&MM which featured this pedal. I'll scan it and upload it if you want. I think I've got most of the copies of E&MM which featured the various Amdek pedals.

Here's a photo of the schematic, I don't have access to a scanner until the weekend. The schematic in the article is tiny though, only about 3"x4" - really hard to make it out. Let me know if you still need the scan.

This looks like an exact redraw of the CE-2 schematic I have here.

although it looks like a ce2, it sounds way better. Maybe because of the use of a mn3204, instead of the mn3207. I have the flanger, the phaser, chorus, and delay, and they all sound great, better than the boss counterparts. Especially the flanger...

Thanks for the photo frequencycentral very helpfull! If you do have a chance a scan would be very nice ;D

Yer the chorus is very good on this pedal just need to sort the depth pot and a bit of a clean up and i think i will be good to go!

Anyone tried the mods for the ce-2? are they worth doing??

cheers

Hello to everybody. This is my first post in this forum.
I have a few Amdek units (Chorus, Flanger, Phaser and Delay) and my intention is to construct a rack with them using relais for conmutation. The problem is that I want to install with bypass real every unit, and for it it´s necessary to withdraw original conmutation circuit.
Seeing the scheme (see above), I suppose that this is done withdrawing both FET transistors  (Q2 and Q3) and bypassing the line that handles Q2 (effect) and opening the line that handles Q3 (dry). Is it like that?

Another question is that I d´ont understand the function of Q1 in relation to the disconnection of the flip-flop of the circuit.
Might someone explain it to me, or propose the best system for the complete disconnection of the conmmutation system?
Thanks to all

A very interesting topic with answers of R.G. (thanks!) over the basic system of BOSS's commutation in an OC-2 (Octave) to take advantage of the flip-flop incorporating a relay.

Here, the lost schematic of OC-2 in the topic to interpret it.

Any ideas anyone? ???

I am getting chrous effect but it goes from barely noticable to full depth!

Im not sure where to even start with this one,

The caps all look good, the voltages all look good and i have replaced the pot itself!?

Please gurus lend me a hand!
