No denying that the online Duncan Tonestack calculator ( https://www.guitarscience.net/tsc/info.htm ) is a fantastic resource, so I bow and tip my hat deeply to all those involved in its creation, maintenance and upgrading.  MY undying gratitude,

That said, responding to a thread on another forum, I realized that, although we've seen volume-pot compensation schemes a-plenty, I've never seen any sort of graphical representation of how different they might be in their effect on both the taper of any attenuation, and the degree to which treble content is favored at different volume pot settings, such that one could compare and determine which is best suited to their guitar, music, and typical volume-pot use.

So if anyone out there seeing this has any influence over the content of the site, please have at it.

Thanks on behalf of all those who never thought about it but now realize they might make good use of it.

When stuck with a fancy topology, edit part values so most of them drop out. The James bass-side can be reduced to your "compensation" scheme?

Nice!  Thanks for the tip. The only caveat is that some compensation schemes also employ fixed resistors in series or parallel, which the cross-out approach doesn't permit.  But still, within those limits, handy.

That IS what Mr Hammer was pointing at.

Had me confused "who" was a target. Even Duncan credits someone else. The guitarscience site has multiple credits.

Mea culpa. No more replying to forums before fully waking up...
