Its a bit late cos ive just bought 2 of these pt2399 chips for a dollar each inc postage from thailand to the uk. Anyway what I want to know is are they pretty much all the same or are these junk?
and if they are decent maybe you might want to stock up :)

I bought a dozen PT2399s from Tayda, and all worked perfectly when tested in a Rebote 2.5.

You can get them cheaper if you order directly from their website: http://www.taydaelectronics.com/servlet/the-63/PT2399-2399-Echo-Audio/Detail

I think PT2399 are only made by Princeton, and the chips have a Princeton logo.

That Ebay seller, Tayda, have their own website and stock some good stuff at great prices, I placed an order last week - a huge bunch of chips for only $12, though I haven't received the shipment yet. I've heard good things about Tayda on that other forum though.

how do you guys know what to buy where?

I found Tayda through another post on this forum, in a topic about Futurlec, if I recall correctly.

I figured it was worth a shot and placed an order. $8.01 for a dozen, shipped. It took about 12 days to arrive.

I just ordered some chip amps and transistors and such from them,a nice little order :icon_mrgreen:
Shipping wasnt much, the prices were less than half of Mousers' and the shipping was the same.
I will let you guys know how long it takes to AZ.
I got 10 x 386 chip for .17 each and some 6 x the 18-35 watt TDA2030 for .37 EACH !  I MEAN WOWSERS
If this stuff is for real I will have to order more!

Ok my order finally came .
I was a little worried,it took 3-4 days to ship (I used PayPal) then another 16-17 to get here.
But hey it came unharmed from all the way on the other side of the planet.
Everything looks good,I havent had a chance to try any chips yet.
The TDA2005 chips I ordered are labeled TDA2005R ?????????? :icon_question: :icon_question: :icon_question: :icon_question:
Its an ST chip and I cant find any info on it.    Just the TDA2005M and TDA2005S
Oh well Im sure its no big deal.maybe I got a new better version heh heh.(I hope)

I saved SO much - 100 IC sockets for .02 each
And the TDA chip amps were at least 1$ each cheaper than elsewhere.
So it was worth the wait, the very long wait
