seems like a good price but is it any good? what do i look for?

i use a 12w weller pencil type iron just now and its great but the tip is shot and the grub screw holding the tip is seized and i broke it trying to remove it.

I used to have one of those - it died shortly after the 12-month warranty expired. Also, it's all fine and good them putting it in the "temperature controlled" section but you have no idea what the temperature actually is!

hmm thanks anchovie. I suppose at a tenner its never going to be brilliant, maybe i should just wait and see what santa brings
