Omega Boost Current Draw

I just attempted to test the current draw of the Omega Boost from runoffgroove.com and got a reading of only 588 microamps. Does this sound accurate for this circuit? Seems awfully small.

Even if both transistors were fully on (and thus the pedal looked like a 10k resistor, or basically just the volume pot), it wouldn't be possible for the pedal to draw more than about 1mA unless the load it was driving was extremely low impedance. 588uA sounds about right for normal operation.
