Please can anyone help me out, I've built a FF with AC128's, I used the dallas arbiter standard schem, with the positive ground, but it aint making no fuzz and the pots dont do squat. my gains for my transistors are 44 and 210, I've also got one wth a 240 hfe spare. now Im guessing the 210 and the 240 are leaking cos aren't AC128's ment to have bout 100'ISH' gain?? I've checked my circuit over and over again and cant find any dry joints or deviations from the schem so im at a total loss. I can only assume its a transistor problem, might i have got the transistors the wrong way round? I've found conflicting info on which leg the little tab points to.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks

I would just try to turn one or both around. Do you have any voltages? Maybe someone can compare them to a working one for you.

Don't worry. Are the pots wired correctly? Make sure the 20uf capacitor is wired correctly with the fuzz pot.

  Perhaps the battery isn't connected.
Study and apply the debugging sticky thread.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

Thanks for the advice guys but still no luck, I'm going to rebuild it on a perf board because its a bit tight on the stripboard to investigate easily. I'll get back if Im still fuzzless.  :icon_cry:
