What do you think is the best way to mount your boards in the enclosure..ive been looking around the site and have seen everything from screws to velcro and just wanted to get some opinions

Used these nylon standoffs on most of my builds ... never had a problem with one coming unstuck.

ayayay!

I like using hot glue.  I saw Chad Matthews do this in his pedals.  I apply a tiny thin layer to the back of the pots and let it harden, then I apply a good sized drop again on the back of each pot and set the board on it.  Done.

DO NOT take this approach until you're sure you're not going to need to work on the board again though.   ;)

Squarely placed standoffs do look great !
Small board in tight space ?
1 screw through the enclosure [visible screw head outside..], through a 1/3'' tube, threaded into perfboard border, quick/dirty, exposes both sides of the board quickly.
I line boxes with the clear sheet plastic [that stuff is packaged in you know, the stuff you have to be careful while cutting open to get to your new stuff], that keeps the screw in place when I'm working on the board, and..keeps board/wiring contacts from inadvertantly touching ground.
I just looked around the immediate materials, grabbed a screw, some insulator sheet, quickly cut a 'tube standoff' out of a section of dry ball point pen.
Anyway, a bunch of mine are done this way, I like it because it allows me to gently and quickly see the bottom of the boards [at least in the boxes that are laid out so not too many wires pin both sides of the board down.
I'm sure there's 20 good ways to do it. For larger boards I'll double the pillar-clamp described.
Also have just glued in a 1/3'' x 1/3'' [er..thicker than the underboard wiring] rip of wood, drilled and border screwed perfboards to that platform.

*Board* - mis-read that and thought you'd put *bird*.

If the HMGlue is used on the side of a box, an electric stove burner could probably heat that portion quickly, pull board just far enough away to cut the cooled glue-string-strands that could plague your project if strewn across it.

seriously, I'm posting from that-was-too-funny heaven.  Do you have any other bird-mounting advice?

Err, Duct Tape?

...and I use velcro tape in my Pedals.
