i have a vintage deluxe mistress now and when the effect is on it sucks my tone pretty bad. i tried running the flanged output to another amp and the dry output to my primary amp and really liked the outcome. i still had the balls of the original tone with the mistress riding right along side.... can i do this on one amp that only has one channel? im thinking something like a mixer with 2 inputs and one output, i could then run whatever i wanted times two into my valve jr. does such a beast exist.

the runoff circuit looks good but I didn't see part numbers for the componants. particularly the ic chip...

Check the lower left corner of the schematic.

got it, thanks. has anyone built this?

:P, just noticed under your name! thanks!

I have- it's really useful.  The set up I'd recommend is building it wih 2 loops, but to use a switching jack on one loop to short the loop closed if nothing is plugged in.  Then you have a wet/dry blender too.

That's also how I built mine, Mike.

Try running the Mistress in parallel wit a chorus, and then some delay on one, the other or both, for an impossibly lush sound.

wheres a goos source for the transistor and ic chip? is there any signal loss with this blender? i only see panning sound clips. any in the loop out of the loop sound clips?

MikeH

The components are pretty widely availiable; I don't know what continent you're on, but you could get them at smallbear for sure.  Although any dual opamp, like a 4558, should work fine.

There probably aren't many soundclips around because it's not really an effect on it's own, but more like a tool to enhance other effects. But it's really quite useful.

What sort of clip would better illustrate the circuit?

May I humbly suggest, following my post above, a clip with chorus and flange separately, then mixed in parallel.
