I cant see to find what im looking for...

I just want a Devi Ever kind of modern fuzz tone but with a gate that kills the notes based on lack of input signal. Any help is appreciated!

Great Cheddar- 3rd switch setting on it is gated fuzz, the more you increase input gain too the more it gets glitchy and gatey. Very nice fuzz

Anything in simpler design. I only need that one sound... hmmm?

have you tried a simple fuzz circuit with voltage sag? i have a fuzzbox once with a sag on it and it killed the notes pretty nicely...just a thought
When your life is over, will any of this STUFF really matter?

Check out the Tone God's "The Punisher", very useful if you have effects and you want to voltage-starve them every time you hit a note, more if a harder note.

Craig Anderton's Ultra-fuzz oughta do.
It's simply an op-amp operating in comparator mode with a variable DC bias on the input signal.
Nice and simple...
