Here are some soundclips of a really interesting Leslie Simulator project from Bajaman over at FSB:

It's modeled after the Korg CX-3. In fact, it's the same circuit that's found in the Leslie section of that keyboard, but adapted a bit for guitar. The mods include a JFET input buffer, and a depth control.

It's got two signal paths (treble and bass) with different ramp up/down times to emulate the rotor/horn combo.

I recorded a quick clip of my Pedal Steel player Michael Eckert playing through my Bazz Fuss between sets. It sounded so good I gave the pedal to him!
It uses an MPSA13.

WOW. That is NICE.

Yeah, I'm jealous of him! He has a Sho Bud pedal steel. It is amazing how much output it has, much louder than my Strat (but what isn't?)
It seems to keep the integrity of the chords together very nicely with the Bazz Fuss too.

I like the piezo.  Is it DIY or commercial?  And what kind of guitar?

It's DIY - the type that comes in the black capsule at radio shack (can't remember where I actually got it). I broke it out of that capsule and it is taped to my guitar behind the bridge. It is plugged into the beginner booster project to bring up the level and recorded straight into the computer.

Halfway through that recording, the regular neck pickup on the guitar is mixed in (w/ tone knob down).

Edit: sorry, forgot to mention what kind of guitar - late 70's gibson marauder (solidbody electric)

I'm relatively new to building pedals but I built one that I'm quite proud of.  It's a twin tube overdrive that started as a valvecaster but turned into its own thing after spending weeks on a breadboard.  I recorded this sample at home with my SG Special into the pedal straight into my cornford harlequin amp:

This is an impromptu jam with me on guitar and my friend on drums.  I'm using the twin tube overdrive for almost the entire jam. Somewhere in the middle my other two friend showed up after their smoke break and added their whackiness.  I'm playing with my whole pedalboard so there's some flanger, analog delay, and compressor in there, maybe a little phaser and wah as well.  I'm still playing the SG Special but I'm using the Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier amp that was provided by the rehearsal studio.  It's a pretty loose jam but you should get a good idea of the sounds that I can get with my overdrive pedal:
