Guys Im building the easy face clone and the wirring diagram here shows a different 3pdt than the one in the beginner project.

here are the two links.

Which One do i follow or will both work?

I can't suggest strongly enough: get a meter and learn to test what switches to what when you flip the switch, and relate that to the schematic.

If you just get told "do A" or "do B", you only learn to relate wires to pictures. If you understand how to follow wires and switches with a meter, you have learned what the switches DO.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

I agree!

Also wiring that has grounded input is better than wiring without it in a lot of effects because even true bypass pedals can oscillate in true bypass mode (TB'd smallstone for example) without the effect in grounded on the switch. But in other effects it really makes no difference. Modulation is really what I'm talking about.

Give this a read:

It explains how the switch connections work and how the bypass circuit is formed from it. The diagram in the bottom right I believe is the best.

This is how I wire all my pedals. I came up with the 3PDT one a few years ago but I know others have come up with the exact way too so I don't really know who 1st came up with it.. Seems   a few of us think alike!  :icon_mrgreen:

These two ways are the best way to wire switches IMO.

that way looks excellent. It covers the special basis that some
don't. It grounds the effect input in bypass, and it only
uses one switch to have the bypass work. I'd feel like I'm wasting a lug being that efficient.

Cheers! Yeah, I like it,nice and neat and no oscillations in bypass with pedals like small stones etc. Easy to remember how to wire too and it uses one lug less to achieve the same as alternative methods.
