Easy face fuzz squealing. I have transistor values

Hi guys just finished building my easy face clone from GGG.

I hear this high pitched squealing sound and I do hear some of the notes.

Here are the values I took


Q1
E=0v
B=.62V
C=.84V

Q2
E=.73V
B=.82V
C= 4.5V

Okay guys I got the squeal to disappear by putting a capacitor across the base and collector of Q1

I put a .01 uF cap

BUt now all the highs are gone and it sounds too muddy. Should I use a lower value cap?

anyone have any more suggestions?

Yeah. .01uf is way too big. .001uf or smaller would be much better as far as not killing the high end.
